They replaced all my windows on the first level of the house.
They were great. They show up when they say they will, they made accommodations for me & they did the quote and part of the installation on a Saturday because I work downtown. The installers were very professional & they did a great job. One window pane came in broken, but they came out & replaced it right away. Overall, they were excellent & gave me a quality product which they installed with precision.
I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We used Custom Built to replace all of the windows on the main floor and top floor.
Overall it was a great experience. Gary was prompt with the quote, the installers were professional and took care to cover the carpet before installing. The windows themselves are terrific and the encasements on the outside are professionally done and have now permanently covered the wood. I heartily recommend!

The service and quality of the project went right to plan. Gary provided me ample options across the range of windows that would fit my needs. I was looking for better UV protection since the sunlight is very strong on this end of my home. Pat led the installation work and explained how it would work. Gary was the third estimate I received and was by far the most knowledgable. Recommended that we replace the glass on one window instead of replacing the whole thing, saved a thousand dollars.
Pat came and did the installation and did a great job. Our old windows were basically plastic and our basement has warmed up significantly. Will definitely work with Gary and Pat when we need the rest of our windows replaced and also our sliding door.

Gary of Custom Built Windows is friendly and professional. He took time explaining all the features and benefits of the Sunrise windows. He answered all of our questions. He helped us with color matching. He explained to us how the windows would be installed and re-assured us that it wouldn’t be a problem to have the windows installed in the cold weather (November, 2012). He told us that the installers were employees with many years of experience installing the Sunrise windows. He provided us with an extensive list of references. We knew somebody on the list and contacted them for their feedback. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to home improvements and they used Custom Built Windows.
We had 8 Sunrise windows installed. Six were casement windows and 2 picture windows were installed in the garage. All the windows had grids embedded between the glass.
The price was very competitive.
The installation went smoothly. We are happy with the work. The installers cleaned up and hauled the old windows away.
We have now had the windows for 8 months and couldn’t be happier with our choice.

Gary provided an estimate to replace our four metal (painted shut) basement windows with new vinyl slider windows. His quote was fair – in line with other estimates we received. We upgraded from standard white to tan for $200 – we really like how they look. Gary estimated that it would take 4 to 6 weeks from order to install. Some window companies estimated a longer time since it would be a small job for them. Our windows were installed 4 weeks and 1 day after we ordered them. We are very pleased with the service provided (both by Gary and his installer Bob) and the windows.

Phenomenal all the way through the entire process!
Gary has vast knowledge of doors and windows. Gary recommended to me that Sunrise patio doors was the product to use. Gary could not be more right!
Bob and his son Jake showed up promptly at 10:00 a.m. – just as Gary said they would. After 5 hours of non-stop work I had a gorgeous new patio door. Bob and Jacob are very hard, precise, and meticulous workers.

I had all the windows on the upper floor of my house (11 total) replaced with new energy efficient Vinyl windows.
I found “Custom Built Windows” on Angie’s list and contacted Gary over the phone to set up an appointment for an estimate to replace all of the windows on the upper floor of my house. He showed up on time for the appointment and seemed really laid back and friendly. He took a look at all of the old windows we currently had. He then gave my wife and I a thorough demonstration of the energy efficient vinyl window he recommended. He gave us an estimate for the 11 windows. His estimate was actually a little lower than the estimate we had previously received a week earlier for similar windows from another guy who’s reputation we weren’t sure of. We decided to go with Gary based on his reputation.
After a few weeks we received the call that they were ready to install and they showed up the scheduled day to do the installation. There were no surprises, no complications, no additional costs and the installers were very polite and friendly.
The windows look beautiful and are exactly what I was hoping for. My wife and I could already feel the difference in temperature in the front bedrooms on a couple of cold days. I’m very pleased with the whole experience and would definitely do business with Custom Built again.

We had 23 windows replaced and 1 sliding door. Bob the installer was great! So far the windows are awesome!
I requested that Gary come out and he came within a few days for a quote. He called back with in a week or so to let me know the manufacturer was doing a rebate. We signed with Gary at the end of July and he estimated that it would take 6-8 weeks before installation would start. The installation started prior to that! Bob and his son did a great job installing and were very friendly and courteous to my little kids. They cleaned up at the end of each day. I would recommend them again!

This company did an excellent job coming in and completing a job that was left unfinished by another contractor who lacked the skills to complete the work.
Project was to aluminum wrap five new Pella windows on the exterior.
The owner, Gary, was very responsive and empathetic to the issues I had with the other contractor. He came out immediately, put in a very reasonable bid (I collected two other quotes) and had his team out several days later to finish the job. he also pointed out defects in the window installation (from the other contractor) which we were able to fix. Windows now look excellent – and finished – on the exterior. Custom Built Windows was a pleasure to work with.
Many thanks to Gary and his team for helping us through the completion of this work and getting us past what had been a very bad experience with another contractor.
Custom Built Windows will be my first call for windows in the future.
Project went very well. Would not hesitate to hire them again.

We have used the services of Custom Built Windows, Incorporated on the 27th of June 2011 for installing windows in my house.
Mr. Gary was the owner. He came out and gave us an estimate. He was very honest about what we needed and what we did not need. He talked us out of something that was more expensive to get something that was better suited to our home and our needs. He had a very honest way about him and he was very helpful. He gave us an estimate on the spot which was very helpful as we did not have to wait for an estimate to come along. He also rushed the job for us because it would have taken a little bit longer than what we were able to wait for. He was able to move things along and was able to accommodate our schedule which was very helpful. We would recommend them as they knew their product. The installer was very polite, very courteous and exceptionally on time. They were a very nice company to work with. We did not do that much extra pricing around and so, we cannot really compare. We thought that we were getting a fair deal. We would absolutely use them again in the future.

We had all but 2 windows replaced in our house with Sunrise windows (~32 windows). Gary came out 2x and showed us an example of the window, walked through the process and answered all of our questions. It took roughly 6 weeks for the windows to be in and our appt to be scheduled which is what Gary estimated. We had one other quote from another company on Angie’s List and he was very nice and actually gave a more competitive price, but we were not crazy about the windows (more plastic, less glass). Bob and his crew of 1-3 guys came and worked for 5 days. They were very courteous, cleaned up after each day and did a great job with the installation. We are very happy with the results!

Custom Built Windows replaced 8 windows in my house and they look fantastic. They have already done my siding and they look great together. Two basement windows,one bathroom window, and a living room window were replaced.
Gary was great to work with and Bob did a great job installing our windows. The installation took less than 4 hours and they cleaned up everything from around the installation. Bob even did some work on an existing window that appeared to be sagging. The windows look great and our house is cooler with the more efficient windows. I would highly recommend Custom Built Windows and look forward to working with them on future projects.

I contracted Custom Built Windows to install new windows in October of 2008.
They came out and gave me a quote to install windows w/ no BS. I contracted them to install new Sunrise Windows in my condo. They told me what time they would arrive and they were right on time. They promised 1 day of work and they delivered exactly what they promised. The price was right and within 1 day they were done and not only that but they cleaned up wonderfully afterwards. The product was great as well as their service in every way shape and form.
